Mountain puddle

Mountain puddle, next dream from next trip.

I love mountain in the autumn season. You all know it. I love to discovered new places, and you also know it. Sometimes I drive so far looking for new places, but  sometimes the amazing places are so close. This one is only 100 kilometers from Bergen. Easy to reach driving the road E39. Long time ago in early winter I drove along the Modalen valley to the almost end. Almost, means to the end of asphalt road, and because it was winter time and a lot of snow, I stopped. And I always keep this place in my mind.

Like in many other valleys, also Modalen including technical road which was used for construction works. To build the dams around mountain lakes. This road start easy, at the end along few curves it leads to over 1000 meter above the sea level. Crazy, amazing drive. I love roads like this. Few parking places along, but the road still leads over and over. It is difficult to reach the last parking, but definitely worth. I wont to be there in spring time for to see whole the water from melting winter snows falling down through the valley. It should be amazing view. This time I visited the valley, it was dry. The dams detained the water in the lakes.

On the picture is the view from the first parking place on the road. Most of the people visiting this place stop here and they walk through few walking paths in every direction. Even in this place in more than 900 meters is beautiful, what you may see on the picture. The mountain puddle with view along the Modalen valley. Enjoy and have a nice weekend.

One day i Will photograph the Quintessence of everything. I promise... This is me and my world. Welcome.
