Next step inside Eksingedalen

After short break this is our next step inside Eksingedalen

This year I decide to visit the different part of the valley. Last year we take ride from Nesheim to the Dale. This year we take ride to other part.Because the first part we traveled last year is surrounded by high mountains from the south side, is dark in afternoon. This part is much more sunny. We leave our car few hundreds meters after Gullbrå, very small village between the mountains. It was just a six or seven houses. Nice quiet place. From there we take walk to the Grøndalsvatnet. It was a small mountain lake, now when the new dam was built, it will be the big drinking water reservoir. Our next step inside Eksingedalen

Photo below was taken straight from the place where we leave the car, somewhere along the Eksingedalen valley

Nesheim church

Nesheim church

At the bottom of this beautiful valley presented yesterday standing the church. In the middle of green meadow, surrounded by gravestones. Is beautiful because is small and white. Around is so many autumn colors. Mountains around are gold and red. The trees are multicolored, from still green pine to gold, yellow, red birch. Close water are blue and reflect the sky with white clouds. Only the gravestones are grey. This is natural composition enough to be painted by some new Monet. I know is hard to imagine the view, but believe me is real. I walked a little between the gravestones, I like this small graveyard mood. Even in paradise people are dying. It was a little break before the next step. I think even the picture of the church is little unbelievable. This is Nesheim church.

Have a nice afternoon and evening. Enjoy the nice fall mood and good weather, if you have the same like we in Norway.

Place lost between mountains

Nesheim, place lost between mountains

This is the view from the road to Nesheim. Looks like paradise, it is paradise. Small valley between the mountains. One road, but everything you need is here. Boundless silence, space, green meadows, forest, river, waterfalls and amazing beautiful lake or rather river pool. What do you need more to be happy? I like to stop on the road which leads down to the village and watch on this beauty around. The silence around is paralyzing. There is not many cars on the road, but when some coming I hear it from few kilometers. What do you think about the view I present on the picture below? Nesheim, place lost between mountains. Do you want more…?

Road to Eksingedalen

Road to Eksingedalen

Beautiful small, narrow road between Evanger and Nesheim. The first few kilometers leads through the deep valley along small river. The second part of this road leads up through the serpentine with many dangerous curves, most of them 180 degrees, crazy drive. On the top is view point where you may stop and watch the valley and the serpentine you drive. Nice view. It was a lot of morning fall fogs in the valley, amazing view. The third part of this roads leads through the top of the mountains and this is unforgettable ride. I do not know how it looks in other seasons. In winter time the road may be closed. I saw the barriers. In early fall time like now this is dangerous for the driver. Because the head are turning around, so many nice beauty, amazing rock formations around. All of them are covered by the moss and grass which are gold now. In little cloudy day, I wish myself to sit here for few hours and watch the shadow spectacle on the gold cover. I am not sure I get another chance this season, maybe the next one. After my second visit here, I am still think this is one of the most beautiful places around me. Worth to visit more often.

The picture below shows only the small part of the road, but you may imagine how it looks in reality. Road to Eksingedalen

Eksingedalen today

I am so proud to present Eksingedalen today

My last visit here was around one year ago. What I saw today it was amazing, again. Eksingedalen is an unique valley high between the mountains. It is overgrown with leafy trees, at most 70 – 80 percent with the birch. At this time of the year the colors smite. For the next few days I will present the view from every possible directions. Is it worth to watch it. This time I explore the different direction the last year. The walk finished on Grøndalsvatnet, fantastic mountain lake, unfortunately it is under reconstruction. Low level of water and work on the dam. Unfortunately, but the view along our walk to the lake and back compensate it. If you want like me, submerge in the sea of yellow, green and red colors – stay with me through the next few days and more…

On the picture below I present some play with light, rocks, water and sky, taken on some brook near the lake.

Leaving Oldedalen

It`s time to leaving Oldedalen

It was short trip, just one and half day, with so many nice memories and pictures. Here on blog it takes a lot of time to present the most beautiful pictures. I have many more I do not forget to present it on some bored winter time. Both the valleys Lodalen and Oldedalen are friendly place and maximum beautiful. Like I wrote it before, Lodalen is probably one of the most beautiful place I saw in Norway. And now is time to leaving Oldedalen too. After a walk to the glacier through the amazing waterfall, we take some break time for dinner on the open camping close the road and the today`s picture was taken from this place. It present the end of the valley with visible the rest of some other glacier. If you zoom this picture, You may see the glacier is already in two different parts, and many small waterfalls transport down water from it. Yes, this is for today, have a nice evening everywhere you are now…

Lodalen picture with stone

On today`s picture the color and the kind of water in Lovatnet is visible one more time. Maybe better than before. But the most important is the stone. I loved it from the first view and many of photographers well know why. It gives this scenery another charm. It was not easy to take this photo because exactly in this place is many bushes and trees. But finally is done and here it is. Lodalen picture with stone.

This is the far end of the Lodalen, it is not perfect but you may see the glacier between the mountains, little bit below the white clouds. Kinsarvik valley

I am not sure the name, Kinsa valley or Kinsarvik valley. Who knows, who help me?

Like I wrote it few days ago, I have to write something about Kinsarvik. Small little town, beautiful place for tourists. Big camping in the city, lot of hotels, hostels and private rooms for rent. Quiet, good place. The most beautiful waiting few kilometers far. Everyone can reach the old power plant and the first waterfall. Is the easy part of walk. Some other can reach the second waterfall, but only the most perserve could reach all four waterfalls during the river Kinso. From the second one starts the path through the forest, and is not easy. I reach the third one, only. So starting from the first it is Tveitafossen with the building of an old power plant. The second one waterfall it is Nyastolfossen. The third, big one it is Nykkjesøyfossen, and higher and far is the last one, Søtefossen. Magical hike between the all waterfalls is worth to recommend. I was so surprised. Of course the water flows downward from the Hardangervidda National Park and is crystal clean and so cold. Nice tip for the weekend trip if you are in Hordaland. This is the Kinsarvik valley, (or Kinsa Valley).

I hope this short description can encourage someone to visit this place. I hope and I wish you all to have a good time.

The first picture show the first waterfall Tveitafossen

The second picture shows probably the last two waterfalls. It looks like one big, but is only illusion

I love Sotra landscape

If You still do not know why I love Sotra landscape…

Kilometers of rocks and small water reservoirs mixed with tongue of North Sea. And again, and again. Somewhere some boat houses, red white, yellow… Some of them completely rotten, some new. Forgotten boats and beautiful sailing boat. Unexpected small forests and naked rocks. Hills overgrown by heather with amazing view on a thousands of small rocks islands around.Typically Norway, yes I think so. And moreover someone like me, who like walking alone and watching to every whole and on every stone. This is me and My Sotra. I love Sotra landscape.

And of course my passion. My photography passion. One of my camera are always in the car. Whenever I go it is always with me. Because after every curve is something interesting to take the photo. The same when I am on Sotra. Sometimes it is so difficult walking with the camera through the rocks, jumping, climbing but the picture are the most important thing. Sometimes I do not believe, almost five years with the cameras in hand. I am so sure the next few will be similar.

Because is little rainy today, I spend whole day in home, thinking about why I love this country, this landscape, why I feel so good living here. At the end of the day the list is full of positives.

After few days I will start my dream journey to Lofoten. Long journey through almost whole Norway. And I think when I`ll be back, my list of reason why I love this place will be much longer. The whole journey will be discribed here on blog and in social media I used. I created the hashtag for it, so if you will want to know more go follow #lofoten2016

Have a nice evening everywhere You are Today
